As far as promotions, I’ve just been talking to other bloggers on social blogging sites such as MyBlogLog; asking them to subscribe to my blog if it interests them.

I’m not sure what determines you to be a Hot-Member on MBL. My past account has over 300+ community subscribers but never made the hot-members list, so I can’t quite say
