There are many of us who don’t know how to design squeeze pages. We usually download templates or copy others’ squeeze pages. If you use WordPress, look no further. Unique Blog Designs, who brought you the Squeeze Theme, now have a new product called Squeeze Plugin. With this plugin you can now create squeeze pages with ease.

You’ll be amazed at how simple it is to setup and publish a squeeze page. Squeeze Plugin utilizes widgets to design a squeeze page. The widgets consists of elements that are used in a squeeze page such as video, form, submit button, disclaimer, and more. All you have to do is drag and drop the selected widget at the desired area on the design board. How the widgets are arranged on the design board is exactly how they’ll appear on the page (I wish web-design was this simple). You can also edit the size of the widget with your mouse. The best part about the plugin is that it works with all WordPress themes!

I’ve tested and used Squeeze Plugin myself and it’s definitely simple to setup and use. Just upload it like any other plugin and you’re set. There are also some aspects of it that are too simple that it needs to be improved. The buttons widget doesn’t utilize a button or image at all, just a text link. The testimonial widget basically wraps your text with quotation marks and nothing more. The image widget should have the option to use an image from an external site and images that are already uploaded. I’ve also had trouble with the widget placements on the design board. I used a page with no sidebar but it seems that the widgets fail to utilize the free space. Also, some widgets would appear on the opposite side of the page rather than at its intended placement. Those are the only problems I’ve experienced so far. I’m sure these issues will be addressed and fixed since the current version of Squeeze Plugin is 1.0

The cost of Squeeze Plugin is only $97 considering the fact that a squeeze page made by a designer can cost up to $100. You can use Squeeze Plugin and an unlimited number of blogs and create an unlimited number of squeeze pages. When you purchase the plugin, you’re covered with a 30 day money back guarantee just in case you find that the plugin isn’t for you. I highly recommend this plugin if you’re the type that has trouble with squeeze pages; $97 is a small cost for convenience.

You’ve probably read countless articles on the importance of commenting on blogs, but from what I’ve observed none teach how to do it effectively. First off, “why would we want to comment on other blogs?” you might ask. When you leave a comment you are exposing & promoting yourself and your blog/business. Commenting can increase traffic to your blog and increase your readership which can turn into increased profits in the end. Listed below are my Secrets of Blog Commenting.

1. Leave Meaningful, Responsive, and Insightful Comments.

In a nutshell, don’t SPAM! You’ll do yourself more harm than good if you spam. When commenting you always want to attract the attention of other readers in a positive manner. We’ve either all seen or left a “thanks for this post” type comment. What you can do to make this more meaningful is to state which piece(s) of information helped you or found interesting. Be responsive and insightful by answering questions the author or other readers ask.

2. Comment and Comment Often.

Don’t just leave a comment and disappear forever. By leaving comments consistently and on a regular basis, you’ll establish yourself with other readers and commentators. You’ll stick out like a sore thumb and will be hard to ignore. People will start responding to your comments and you’ll notice an increase of activity on your own blog, guaranteed!

3. Be the First to Comment.

To help in you in your attempts to be the first to comment, you should subscribe to the blog’s RSS feed, follow the author(s) on Facebook & Twitter, and visit the blog often. You want to be the first to comment because most readers only look at the first few comments. If you see zero comments on a post, don’t just scroll down and quickly leave a comment. Be sure to always apply secret number one. If the post is lengthy, read the first sentence of each paragraph to get a good feel of what the post is about. Being the first to comment will give you huge exposure given that you’ve written something worth reading.

4. Be a Top Commentator.

Given you’ve followed all of the previous secrets; you’ll eventually reach Top Commentator stardom. That is only if the blog you’re commenting on uses the Top Commentator plugin, and you do want to comment on a blog that uses it. Why? Because you get additional traffic and exposure, plus you get link juice (that’s if the links are set to do-follow, which it is most of the time).

5. Comment on Popular Blogs with Large Readerships.

It’s pretty obvious that you don’t want to invest time commenting on an inactive blog. Find the top bloggers in your niche by searching on Google or by joining blog networks such as MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog. Once you’ve done that, start your comment spree! It’s all about the law of attraction. Associate yourself with those at the top and you’ll find yourself there too in no time!

If you follow my Secrets to Blog Commenting, I can guarantee you’ll see results. It’s all up to you on what you write on other people’s blogs, and whatever lies behind that link on your profile should exceed the quality of your comments. Get started commenting today! You can start by leaving comments here

Ultimate Blog Profit Model is an eBook written by John Chow, the same author of Make Money Online: Roadmap of a Dot Com Mogul (read my review of Make Money Online here). This eBook is a perfect supplement to his book because this time he teaches you how to increase your earnings from your blog even more. The best part about this eBook is that it’s FREE! The information contained is of high value and definitely worth more than what’s in his published book. I’m going to quickly share what the guide contains and some thoughts about the guide.

First, we’re hit with the usual “About the author”. I enjoyed this segment because John talks about his long-ago past when he was living China. Very inspirational, I haven’t heard this this story of John before. Next, is the common pep-talk, why you aren’t successful and how you should change your mindset to become successful. John presents very interesting points that should not be skipped. Now for the gold.

The Ultimate Blog Profit Model consists of:

Capturing leads coming to the blog

Building a relationship with the leads

Putting the leads through a sales funnel

Work out the average revenue per lead

Adding PPC advertising at a rate below the average revenue

Basically, I thought this eBook was mostly about list building through your blog, which is good because I decided to join Aweber (try it today for only $1). I’ll definitely be implementing the techniques I’ve learned to build my list. I’ve made it a goal of mine to profit from my list on the first month so it can pay for itself.

Though this guide was really good, I couldn’t help but notice MANY misspellings. Here’s a list but I’m sure there are probably more:

pg. 3, “Table of Content” = Table of Contents

pg. 22, “You Email List Is Your Foundation” = Your Email List Is Your Foundation (same error is found in the Table of Contents)

pg. 41, “Why Your Blog Need a Mailing List” = Why Your Blog Needs a Mailing List; “To maximum the income…” = To maximize the income…

pg. 46, “…subscriber it sent to…” = …subscriber is sent to…; “…one in ten reader…” = …one in ten readers

pg. 54, “…for 12 week.” = …for 12 weeks.

pg. 57, “…you live the dream live.” = …you live the dream life.

pg. 59, “…no eclectic stove…” = …no electric stove…

pg. 60, “Start counting your blessing…” = Start counting your blessings…

With these misspellings, it gave me a feeling that this eBook was rushed (I’m open to being your proofreader, John ). Nevertheless, it’s an awesome guide. Though, I do not recommend it to those who are beginners. Get the basics down first before touching this! For those of you that are ready to take the next step,

I’m finally finished with 15 months of schooling which started on February 9, 2009 with graduation on May 29, 2010.

(Also, my sister graduated the day before from RN school.)

I attended a private-nursing school which costs about $24,000 when I joined.

I bet you’re wondering why and how I got into nursing. After high-school, I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to do. Just like most people I went to a community college and took some classes. After one semester, I didn’t find it appealing and I didn’t want a mediocre job while going to school. I remembered that some older friends of mine have gone to LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse; also known on the East-coast as LPN [Licensed Practical Nurse]) school. I decided to look into it and was encouraged to go by my family since a good number of them are nurses (aunts, uncles, and my mom) both LVNs and RNs (Registered Nurse).

Now, after finishing the program, it feels as if I learning little but I know that I’ve learned a lot. I’ve spend class time on my phone reading blogs and playing games I find it hard to believe I got through school. The difficulty of the course really depends on who your instructor is because I’ve come to realize is that not everyone teaches the same. There are instructors who spoon feed you and those who challenge you to your limits.

The clinical portion of school is more stressful than theory (in-class) because you’re out on the floor dealing with patients and put to use what you learn in class. Clinical settings I’ve been to are the maternity & pediatrics in a hospital, Long-term care facility, nursing & rehab facility, and a mental health facility. My favorite was mental health. At first, I thought the patients there were going to be CRAZY! But it turns out most of them are people who’ve been on drugs or had some breakdown in their life.

What’s next for me? I have to study my ass off and pass the state boards, NCLEX, to be licensed and able to work. Most likely in two-months, I’ll be able to take the exam. For the mean time, I have to learn everything I didn’t learn in school and review.

Nursing, in my opinion is something not everyone can do. You really do have to be a caring person. I didn’t start out as one; though, I was able to adapt and learned to grow to become caring enough. I’m still a bit selfish

I’m currently working in a long-term nursing facility as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and boy is it HARD WORK!

Maybe now that I’m out of school I’ll be able to blog more, haha! See you

Would you like to win an easy $5 every month? All you have to do is comment on my blog, and comment often.

Of course, there’s always a catch.

No Spamming!

No double/multiple posting.

Leave responsive, well-written, insightful comments. (NOT, “oh cool”, “very interesting”, etc.)

A reserve of 30 total comments from all readers must be met. (Meaning, if there’s 24 comments total from all readers, then the prize cannot be given away)

Winner will receive $5 via PayPal at the end of the month.

Rules are subject to change as I see fit.

I’m doing this to increase the activity on my blog. I’ve been looking at my site statistics and I’ve seen that people read my articles but very few leave comments. I know we all have our opinions, I would like to reward my visitors for sharing them.

I know that five dollars isn’t much but it’s what I could afford to give at this time. As my blogging income increases, the prize amount will increase as well.

Is there anything I can do to make the contest experience any better? Are there more rules I should add? What do you think?

Make Money Online: Roadmap of a Dot Com Mogul is basically a roadmap to help you reach success through blogging. The book is written by John Chow who is a well-known blogger in the make money online niche, and Michael Kwan who is a professional blogger and is known for his technology reviews. I’m going to share my thoughts about the book’s content, who would benefit most from reading it, and its negative aspects.

Content-wise, the book doesn’t fail to deliver. I especially admired how the first chapter acted as a call-to-action for those who are thinking about jumping into blogging. The second chapter details about John’s past and how he started on the internet to what he’s achieved and where he is today. You get to know the author on a personal level. The next four chapters covers the basics of blogging, from what blogging is, what to keep in mind when blogging, and the preferred blogging platform & tools. Every experienced blogger should know blogging’s basics and should read those chapters for a nice refresher. The rest of the chapters, seven through thirteen, is the true meat of the book. Those chapters outline how crucial content & branding is, promoting your blog, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and how to make money blogging. I’m positive that most experienced bloggers will learn something new in those chapters, I know I have!

The beginning blogger is best suited to read this book. The chapters are well organized to teach the absolute basics to the advanced aspects of blogging & money making. They would benefit from every single chapter. That’s not to say that veteran bloggers shouldn’t read it, because they should. As I’ve stated earlier, this book is a nice refresher for things we may have forgotten. The second half of the book is the place where you’re bound to learn something new unless you already know it all.

I found a few minor flaws in the book; some of you might disagree with some of the points I present but it’s all from my perspective. First off, the title of the book could’ve been more specific. Make Money Online should’ve been Make Money Blogging. Though, making money through blogging is a form of making money online, it’s only one category of making money. There’s a vast amount of ways to make money online; you can create a subscription site, flip sites, complete get-paid-to (GPT) offers, and even gamble. John was probably trying to pull an SEO tactic to make that phrase associate with him offline and add-on to his online repoire . But in my opinion Make Money Blogging is more appropriate, and the description of chapter 13 can validate my argument. Next, I found a couple of errors in the book. I forgot to note the second error which was a misspelled word, but the one I did take note of is found on page 64 in the first paragraph. There’s a missing word, can you find it? The last thing I have to pick on could be nothing at all. I’ve read on John’s blog (I wish I could find the source of reference) & is faintly described in the book’s preface that some of the book’s content are old blog posts. Supposed evidence of this can be found in page 139 where it’s stated that the OIOpublisher Direct plugin costs $37 but actually costs $47. I know this might be a little nit-picky because the price could’ve changed last week, but I don’t think that’s the case. The book should’ve been written fresh to avoid these small errors and even add disclaimers such as price is subject to change.

Don’t get me wrong I actually enjoyed reading the book but I felt the need to find imperfections because nothing is perfect and there’s always room for improvement (clichés ). Make Money Online: Roadmap of a Dot Com Mogul has plenty of great content for every blogger, new or experienced. This book is reasonably priced and a great buy if you get it off Amazon. Don’t waste any time, buy the book because The Best Time to Get Started is Now!

As for internet projects, I’ve been learning about making money online. And it’s kept me on my toes.

I joined the ShoeMoney System, which I’ll post about later on. Basically, they teach you how to make money on the internet step-by-step and it’s audience is directed at those who are new to the industry.

There have been a bunch of new product launches related to internet marketing which have been very essential.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know that I’m alive and well. Hopefully, I’ll post more often rather than once a month.

This will be the first Rapidshare contest hosted on this site. As some of you know, I’ve sponsored contests on other sites. As usual I will be giving away a Free One-Year Rapidshare Premium account.
But this time the winner won’t be randomly drawn. Only EIGHT people will have the opportunity to win and it will be decided by those eight on how to decide the winner (ex. a game of poker, a Halo 3 match, or even janken [rock, paper scissors]!).

You have 1/8 chances to win!
Note: The winner will NOT be randomly drawn. This will be a CONTEST, not a giveaway.
Only 8 can enter.
Cost for entry is $1.
This contest is limited to those who reside in the U.S. (sorry)

To enter, please leave a comment here with a valid email and I will send further instructions via email.

P.S. I’ve been thinking. If a rapidshare account doesn’t fancy you, perhaps the winner could select their own prize such a 1-year xbox live membership or even a gift card/certificate.
