Pearsonvue Trick (PVT) NCLEX: Check If You Passed, Instantly!

I took my board exam for licensure in vocational nursing on October 22, 2010, otherwise known as the NCLEX-PN; The Pearsonvue Trick (PVT) can help determine if you passed or not. The Pearsonvue trick (PVT) also works with the NCLEX-RN exam. After taking the exam, most of us are stressed wondering about how we did and whether we passed or failed. Pearsonvue states that the unofficial results are available within 2 business days upon taking the exam. You can either look up the results online or over the phone. The thing is that you have to pay to see your results or wait a couple of weeks until you receive them in the mail, which is too long for many of us.

Introducing the Pearsonvue Trick (PVT)

For those of us who can’t wait to find out, I have a little trick for you. Please note that this trick is in no way, shape, or form considered to be illegal or an act of hacking.

In a nutshell, all you have to do is re-register for the test again. If you get a pop-up that states that you recently took your exam and are ineligible to register, CONGRATULATIONS, YOU PASSED! But if you reach the page that asks for your credit-card info, I’m sorry but you failed.

Here’s how to do the Pearsonvue Trick step-by-step:

  1. Visit and log-in to your account.
  2. Click “Register” and select your exam type.
  3. Select your Country. Answer the “NCLEX Registration Questions” questions as if you failed your exam. ex. “Have you ever taken an NCLEX exam before? Yes.”
  4. Select your Country, City, and Find/Enter your Program Code.
  5. Then select your Board or Nursing. Click Next.
  • If you passed the NCLEX, you’ll receive a pop-up that states, “Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time.”

Pearsonvue Trick (PVT) Pass Pop-up

  • If you failed, you’ll be taken to the payment page asking for your credit-card information.
  • If you receive a pop-up that states “The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.”, you didn’t pass or fail; wait a couple of days and try the Pearsonvue trick again.

When Can You Do the Pearsonvue Trick?

This trick is said to work right after you finish your exam. I tried it a few hours after taking it and received the pop-up. I’ve been doing it everyday and am still receiving the pop-up. I’ve never heard of this trick being wrong, but please note that this doesn’t guarantee 100% whether you’ve passed or not. You’ll know for sure when you receive your passing letter in the mail.

I received my report last week. I passed!

I suppose you can say the trick does work since I got the good pop-up. I know someone who took the exam a week after I did and they were sent to the credit-card page. They should be receiving their report soon.

I hope the Pearsonvue Trick will help ease your anxiety.

    I took my NCLEX-RN yesterday Friday 05/06/2011 @10:30am. I ran out of time after 245 questions. They say if you run out of time they look at your average ability of the last 60 Q’s. I cried of course! I’m sweatin bullets. I’ve checked the Ohio BON website multiple times today and it still says PENDING. I’ve also tried the PVT 10 times today and all 10 times I got the “GOOD” pop up. PV does say it was delivered. Crossing my fingers it works. I will repost if I passed or not when I find out. Hopefully sooner than later.

    HI ALL,

    Well, I had the NCLEX-RN exam today (75 question). I tried the trick in pearsonvue and I think that I passed the exam, because I saw the pop-up to contact the board of nursing.
    I just want to say what i studied for nclex-rn and give some tips:

    * DVDs of judith miller (great)
    * Q&A saunders
    * prioritization, delegation and assignment by linda A. Lacharity
    * Mosby’s pharmacology memory notecards

    I wrote this caz when i wanted to study for exam i had no idea what i must read. And i had lots of problem to find proper sources. Hope this would be useful for others want to take this exam.
    Good luck.

    My POP up says “The candidate currently has an open registration for this exam. A new registration cannot be created at this time.” Does that mean I need to wait and try again (its only been am hour and a half since I finished) or did I pass? Or fail?

    I would say wait a few and try again. I’ve not heard of this pop up in the 100s of posts I’ve read. Good luck and let us know what you get pop up wise and score wise 🙂

    Someone told me it might be because my results still say “ready for delivery” on pearson vue.

  7. Stephanie_0205 May 10, 2011 at 7:43 am #

    That’s what I was thinking. Once it says Delivery successful you can check. How did you feel about it the NCLEX? RN or PN? I’ve taken both and they are NOT easy!

    Well the results were delivered and according the PVT I passed. I actually didn’t think it was that bad. After all the complaining I did about my school I think they prepared us really well.

    First time reading online posts. They have given me hope and a little more stress. Took my test (PN) in CA on May 9. My friend who took hers on April 20 told me to do the PVT. I got the good pop up and have checked about twice per day since and have still gotten the good pop up BUT Im so scared about what happened to the person who got the good one then got the cc one later. Has this happened to anyone else?? Or can I sleep tonight? I didnt feel great about the test but Im still praying it went ok. I stopped at 85 questions so I dont know if thats good or bad. (85 is min in CA) My friend did it each day since taking test and got the good pop up each time. Update on friend she got her letter on May 10 Shes a NURSE!!!!

    Anybody out there? Im still getting the good pop up but still worried. In Ca it takes 3 to 4 weeks to get the results by mail. I might go crazy by then. Checking the board web site doesnt help either. I know of people who passed the test months ago and their name still doesn’t come up.
